DESCRIPTION

Evening is settling down over this desert land so quiet ~ where a scattering of stars are the only company for a "Little Church All Alone." ~ ~ ~

A peaceful aura covers this painting ~ it is soothing to the soul. And the colours are gorgeous! Lovely shades of blue, turquoise, coral red, purple & gold ~ a combination which will complement the colour scheme of most any casa! This piece will make a wonderful addition to anyone's collection of folk art!



ABOUT THIS PAINTING

This Mexican folk art painting is an ORIGINAL work of art, brightly painted with acrylics on a professionally stretched, gallery wrapped canvas. This premier canvas is tightly wrapped & tucked around a very well-made, quality wooden frame with no side staples ~ and all four sides have been painted so that it is ready for you to immediately display & enjoy just as quickly as you receive it (no additional framing is necessary) ~ and a hanger is already attached! The artist ~ RoMy ~ that's me! I live on the border between Texas and Mexico ~ near the Big Bend National Park ~ a few miles from Terlingua Ghost Town ~ and I love the history and culture of this area ~ a raw, still quite primitive land ~ a desert land where "rainbows wait for rain." The last few photos in this description show my outdoor studio which faces Santa Elena Canyon and the Rio Grande, the natural border between Old Mexico and Texas ~ and it is from this primitive setting ~ 80 miles from town ~ that I find most of my inspiration for painting. (in the photos Mexico is on the left side of the river and Texas is on the right)

Mr. Crow has decided to hitch a ride to Old Mexico with this burro and the little burro is none too happy about his traveling pardner! This whimsical painting is full of colour! Beautiful shades of blue, turquoise, purple, red, gold, coral and yellow ~ it will match almost anyone's color scheme! Lots of texture in this piece, too!

Cowgirl~Horse~Boots~Hat~Spurs~Western Art~RoMy Painting

Hola! Good to see you! Please take a moment to see my latest painting ~ this pretty little cowgirl and her horse are just "Coolin' It" at the waterin' hole before heading back to ranch headquarters at the end of the day. I've been painting quite a few cowboy/cowgirl pieces lately and been enjoying it....

DESCRIPTION

A pretty cowgirl and her pony take a break ~ they're just "Coolin' It" at this waterin' hole ~ an old rock tank ~ before headin' on back to the ranch headquarters....

The little cowgirl has some gorgeous leather boots with a floral design ~ a great cowboy/cowgirl hat ~ a sterling silver scarf slide ~ a bandana with embroidered flowers ~ and spurs that any collector would be proud of! This cowgirl loves pretty western wear ~ even her jeans and shirt are fashionable with a Rocky Mountain label! No doubt this cowgirl has a fabulous saddle for her horse, too! After all ~ cowgirls and cowboys have always been known for spending most ~ if not all ~ of their monthly salary on their tack!

Way off on the distant horizon is the ranch house and a windmill slowing spinning....

The colours in this unique and very charming piece are gorgeous shades of blue, turquoise, coral, red, yellow, purple & gold ~ sure to go with the colour scheme of most any casa!
