Hola! Welcome to my estudio! It's a wonderful cool morning here in Big Bend Country - about 70 degrees right now - I am having my first cup of coffee sitting on my backporch and listening to the birds before I start my day. I will be listing two new paintings on eBay today or tomorrow and just wanted to let you know about them. One is a wonderful St. Francis (Saint Francis is the Patron of Peace and Animals) painted on thin tin with a copper hanger and the other is a colourful Mexican kitty cat painted on a fabulous Mexico chair with a detailed floral design, painted on a medium size canvas 20x16. BELIEVE-DREAM-TRUST Mexican Folk Art-RoMy Inspirational Artwork Original Painting Direct from Artist Terlingua Art Studio Near Big Bend National Park
This is my latest Mexican Folk Art painting which I just listed on eBay auction titled BELIEVE~DREAM~TRUST! I paint Mexican Folk Art (as well as lots of Southwest and Country Life Folk Art) because I particularly love the culture and tradition of Old Mexico and because I live along the border of Old Mexico and Texas I am surrounded by so much rich history (from both sides of the border!) that I naturally find myself painting what I live....
Also, much of what I paint tends to have an inspirational theme to it ~ a reminder to enjoy life such as it is ~ whatever it may be at the moment ~ while always believing what is can become better....
Anyway, this painting is an affirmation to never ever give up on your DREAMS!

DESCRIPTION
This kitty cat and rabbit find themselves both in the same flower garden, which is each one's most favorite spot for spending lazy, carefree afternoons in the early days of Spring. They study each other intently. Neither makes a move. Looks like a stand-off! Finally, they come to the happy realization, "We see things eye-to-eye!" And from a place of mutual interests, they drop their guard, having decided sharing is better than putting up a sign saying, "Mine!" This is a darling piece of Country Folk Art which will add a charming touch to the decor of any home! Or office where you work! It would be especially cute in a children's room also ~ but any bunny and cat lover will adore it, too!
ABOUT THIS PAINTING
This country folk art painting is an ORIGINAL work of art, brightly painted with acrylics on a piece of thin TIN, which makes it ideal for indoor and/or outdoor decorating such as a backporch or patio area. Also, this piece, which is 6" x 5", has been finished with a non-yellowing acrylic enamel to protect and enhance its beauty for years to come. There are already two holes punched in the top and it comes with a gold-colored wire hanger so that it can be immediately displayed once you receive it! The back of this painting is signed by the artist, titled and dated (2009).
This RoMy Original Tiny Tin (TM) is small (in size) but sweet ~ simply feel good art! These are wonderful collectibles and look really great single or displayed in groups on your wall ~ or hooked over the knob on a cupboard door ~ or if you like remove the attached hanger and place these on windowsills, bookshelves, fireplace mantles ~ just let your imagination guide you!

The last few photos in this description show my outdoor studio which faces Santa Elena Canyon and the Rio Grande River, the natural border between Old Mexico and Texas ~ and it is from this primitive setting ~ 80 miles from town ~ that I find most of my inspiration for painting. (in the photos Mexico is on the left side of the river and Texas is on the right)
