Title: "Dining in Puerto Vallarta"
Size: 12" x 9" (on gallery-wrapped canvas ~ ready to display!)
Hola! Muchas Gracias for stopping by my Terlingua Art Studio near Terlingua Ghost Town & Big Bend National Park (Texas) along the Old Mexico Border! For your consideration today I am offering this original painting:
DESCRIPTION
A delightful ~ whimsical ~ very detailed folk art painting with a coastal setting ~ titled "Dining in Puerto Vallarta" A fabulous seascape piece brimming over with the flavor & the romance of Old Mexico!
It is a beautiful evening ~ a sliver of moon and scattering of stars ~ the beach and the waves gleaming in the night ~ the breeze warm & balmy. And this little restaurant on the playa is just right for a romantic dinner by candelight! The terrace for dining is romantically lit by party lights strung from the thatched roof ~ and candlesticks and a candelabra ~ perfect mood setters! The sound the fronds on the palm tree make as the breeze caresses them lightly adds much to the romantic aura of this evening as well....
This is a busy place this evening ~ lots of folks dining out and enjoying good company, good food, good wine. The waiter has just brought a fine bottle of wine to one of the couples ~ and he is just proceeding to open it....
Lots of expressions on the faces of all these characters! Very animated! And intricate! Please note the tiny details on the Talavera pots, the dishes, the wine glasses ~ a lovely table setting on a fabulous red tablecloth! And the ladies are all wearing their finest Mexican dresses ~ and, of course, everyone is wearing the traditional huaraches!
What a night this is here in Puerto Vallarta! A night to remember! A night of romance! Filled with memories to be cherished always! ~ ~ ~
The colours in this unique and very charming piece are gorgeous shades of coral, turquoise, blue, green, red, yellow, purple & a hint of gold ~ sure to go with the colour scheme of most any casa! "Dining in Puerto Vallarta" will add a classic touch of Old Mexico to any home! And what a great addition it would make to the artwork of any restaurant!!

ABOUT THE ARTIST
The artist ~ RoMy ~ that's me! I live on the border between Texas and Mexico ~ near the Big Bend National Park ~ a few miles from Terlingua Ghost Town ~ and I love the history and culture of this area ~ a raw, still quite primitive land ~ a desert land where "rainbows wait for rain." The last few photos in this description show my outdoor studio which faces Santa Elena Canyon and the Rio Grande, the natural border between Old Mexico and Texas ~ and it is from this primitive setting ~ 80 miles from town ~ that I find most of my inspiration for painting. (in the photos Mexico is on the left side of the river and Texas is on the right)
