DESCRIPTION
This sweet angel roaming the desert lands has no wings ~ but still she is an angel! Haven't we all at least once in our lives known someone who had no angel wings yet had an angelic aura surrounding them ~ someone who held out a helping hand to us when we needed it most? Someone who encouraged us until through the darkest clouds the sun at last broke through again?
These are the angels with no wings that walk the desert lands!
The colours in this "Desert Moon Angel" painting are really gorgeous! This little angel is wearing a beautiful turquoise gown ~ and a tiny cross necklace around her neck. The dove is a pretty shade of reddish-orange and the moon is blue! A great piece to add to your collection of angels and/or southwestern folk art!
ABOUT THIS PAINTING
This southwest folk art painting is an ORIGINAL work of art, brightly painted with acrylics on a piece of thin TIN, which makes it ideal for indoor and outdoor decorating such as a backporch or patio area. Also, this piece, which is 8" x 5 1/2", has been finished with a non-yellowing acrylic enamel to protect and enhance its beauty for years to come. There are already two holes punched in the top and it comes with a gold-colored wire hanger so that it can be immediately displayed once you receive it! The back of this painting is signed by the artist, titled and dated (2009).
This RoMy Original Tiny Tin (TM) is small but sweet ~ simply "feel good" art! These look fabulous displayed alone but are really dynamic grouped on any wall in a collection! Or hooked over a knob on a kitchen cupboard ~ or simply remove the hanger and display on a windowsill, fireplace mantle, bookshelf ~ just let your imagination guide you!
Also, they make excellent gifts!!
ABOUT THE ARTIST
The artist ~ RoMy ~ that's me! I live on the border between Texas and Mexico ~ near the Big Bend National Park ~ and I love the history and culture of this area ~ a raw, still quite primitive land ~ a desert land where "rainbows wait for rain." The last few photos in this description show my outdoor studio which faces Santa Elena Canyon and the Rio Grande River, the natural border between Old Mexico and Texas ~ a few miles from Terlingua Ghost Town ~ and it is from this primitive setting ~ 80 miles from town ~ that I find most of my inspiration for painting. (in the photos Mexico is on the left side of the river and Texas is on the right)
I enjoyed the visit ~ Gracias! And, please, while you are here take a moment to
